Bequests
Bequests are an invaluable form of support to help us continue our service.
Some people to choose to leave a specific amount of money, a percentage of your estate, a gift of property, shares or other assets. If you are interested in making a bequest, it is best to ask your legal advisor about the ways you can make a charitable bequest.
An example of how bequests can be worded is provided below:
"I ______________________ give, devise and bequeath unto the Wildlife Rescuers of Wildlife Victoria for its general purposes free of all duties, the following: (whichever is applicable)
- ________ % of my estate or the residue of my estate
- The sum of $ _________
- Life insurance policy number ___________
- Property (details) _____________________
- Other (details) _______________________
Your legal advisor will be able to provide advice on the process of making a bequest, make sure you have witnesses etc.
