Anne is currently working at the Healesville Sanctuary and we have been able to arrange for her to conduct the following training sessions: (See more bio info here)
- Sunday 23rd May 2010 - Husbandry and Disease of Possums
Some of the topics that will be discussed include: handling, initial first-aid, housing, feeding, hand-rearing orphans, release, euthanasia and common diseases and injuries
- Sunday 29th August 2010 - Husbandry and Rehabilitation of Injured Native Birds - at FLEMINGTON

The training session on birds was to be conducted at a venue in Greenvale but, as the venue became unavailable, an alternative had to be found at short notice.
The new locations is at:

Who can attend?
Attendance is open to anyone but if the numbers exceed 50, preference will be given to shelters, carers and active rescuers.
Times
Registration is at 8.45 am.
The bird session needs to start earlier that previously advised and will commence at 9.00 am and conclude around 4.00 pm. There will be an half hour for lunch as well as morning and afternoon tea breaks.
Costs Per Session
Please note: These two sessions were previously advertised as $10.00 each but, as we were out of pocket following the possum session, we have no choice but to increase the cost for the Husbandry and Rehabilitation of Injured Native Birds in August to $20.00.
The fee is payable on the day of training.
Also, there is an additional fee of $2.00 to cover tea/coffee and light refreshments.
Manuals and CDs
Hard copy manuals and CDs on the topic of the day will be available for purchase at a special price of $5.00 each. (These need to be pre-ordered - see below under registration,)
Hard copy manuals and CDs on other topics will be available for purchase on the day at $10.00 each.
