Reptiles

Reptiles include snakes, lizards, skinks, goannas & geckos. They are often injured by humans, cats, dogs, lawnmowers, whipper snippers, run over by vehicles and caught in aluminum cans.

Snakes

Once the warmer weather approaches snake sightings are more common. Snakes are an important part of the environment. They help control rodent populations e.g mice. Snakes do not have legs, this is a lizard.

Before the warmer weather

Water Dragon

Make sure you keep your grass short and remove any debris from around your house to minimise the spots snakes like to hide.

Lizards

Lizards are not venomous but can still inflict bites and scratches. Lizards are great for the garden, they will eat your snails. If you have a lizard in your yard please don't use snail pellets.
