Information for Vets
If you receive wildlife at your clinic we ask that you help us with by doing the following:
1. Obtain details from the person that handed the animal in
- name & phone number so we can let them know what happened
- the location where they found the animal so we can return the animal to their natural area once rehabilitated
2. Contact the Wildlife Rescuers 0417 506 941 or Wildlife Victoria 1300 094 535 - Wildlife Victoria as soon as possible so we can arrange for the animal to be assessed & collected.
3. Keep the animal in a warm & dark place and preferably away from domestic animals to minimise stress.
4. Please do not attempt to feed or administer fluids until you have received advice from a registered carer or shelter.
5. Please remember that wildlife can only be passed onto registered carers not members of the public.
Flyers & Stickers for Vets
