Cruelty to Wildlife

Cruelty to animals is barbaric and senseless. It is also a crime and is punishable under the Cruelty Offence Act.
The kangaroo in the picture to the right was shot illegally. A call was received 24 hours after the incident occured and with half of her face missing she is still alive. This kangaroo was put to sleep after induring much pain and suffering.
If you see someone harming wildlife, you need to report it immediately to a wildlife carer who can pursue the matter with the police and the Department of Sustainability.
What to do if you see someone harming wildlife:
- Get a registration plate number, photos or video footage
- Call us so we can provide assistance to the animal
- Record details of the time, place, number of people involved
